Yee hah! The Best Football Tournament in the North is Back

The north of Cardiff, that is. Yes, spring has sprung, the sun is shining upon us once again, and that can only mean one thing – the great Radyr Rangers FC football tournament 2025 is on its way.

This year, kids from all over the city will converge on Radyr Comp on Saturday, June 14th, to score goals to their heart’s content and get their hair sprayed red, white or blue at our annual festival gathering.

Along with the multitude of games that’ll be played, there will be lots to keep everyone entertained, fed and watered. Our burgers are world-renowned; people have come from as far as Merthyr just to sample their meaty goodness. There’ll be a range of stalls, including a pre-loved kits and boots stall, where you can pick up a bargain for your football-loving angels, a penalty shootout area and a raffle with prizes to rival that Omaze house giveaway that pops up on Facebook every few days.

It’s more than just a football tournament. It’s a real chance for the community to come together and not only enjoy a fantastic day out, but to support a grassroots football club that has, for the past 24 years, kept the children of Rady and surrounding areas healthy and happy in black and white. ⚽️

The club is self-funded and run entirely by volunteers, from the coaches to the committee, so if you’ve got some spare time and would like to help in any way, please drop us a message. Alternatively, if you’re busier than the Brynglas tunnels at rush hour, you can donate instead and help us get to our 25th anniversary next year. Here’s a link to our Just Giving crowdfunding page if that’s more your thing. In the words of that supermarket that rhymes with fresco, ‘every little helps’.

Finally, we’re still looking for sponsors for the pitches and programme, so if you work for a business that’d like to give back to the community and support our fantastic club and children, please email [email protected].

We look forward to welcoming you to our day of footballing fun on the 14th of June – see you there!
