Rob Fancourt, Chair of Radyr Rangers FC, looks forward to Radyr Rangers Festival 2024!

Welcome everyone to what will certainly be a fantastic day for every child participating and for the coaches and families accompanying them. I’d like to thank everyone who has contributed to organising this event as it is an enormous endeavour. Thanks also to our sponsors and the businesses who have kindly donated prizes for our raffle.

The festival is our main fundraising event of the year, without which we’d struggle to stay afloat. Like all clubs, we exist to provide a service to our local community and we cannot do this without parents volunteering at events such as this, and supporting the running of our teams. Thank you to everyone who contributes to Radyr Rangers, your support is what makes this club so successful.

The club is going through exciting times. We are currently making plans with TfW and the council for our new clubhouse at the Mound field, together with developing plans for both our main pitches and winter training.

Councillors Helen Lloyd Jones and Calum Davies are providing us with invaluable support. I’d also like to thank Malcolm Stammers from the FAW trust who has always been a friend and adviser to the club.

The Radyr Rangers Festival is the main way this club funds itself for the season, although a day of celebratory football is important, the money we make and raise across the festival helps sustain the club across the season ahead.
